Seaport Diner is near the airport and port. Mostly frequented by those working in area. Old style diner with booths and counter seating. Probably holds 50 guests. Food was surprisingly good,

What a way to close out our trip! We stopped in at this little diner since it was super close to the airport. The waitress Cynthia had the cutest accent true girl from Jersey! We had a lot of luggage with us and they didn't seem to mind. The place is cute and small but not too small, feels homey! And is really clean! Right away the waitress came by for our drinks and their menu looked so good! It was raining so obviously my little one went with hot chocolate and it was perfect. She had a waffle with bacon, my mom had the farmers omelette with had all veggies and toast my boyfriend had a country fried steak I had a meat lovers omelette. The portions were huge, and everything was absolutely AMAZING. The potatoes were so good, they don't make them that way on the west coast. The gravy over the steak was sooooo delicious we dipped everything in that sauce. We really enjoyed our meal and the price was. Super reasonable for a party of 4. Def a must in NEWARK!

Delicious food and authentic NJ diner experience at Seaport Diner!! I got the Reuben sandwich with fries, it was huge and had amazing flavor - the corned beef was tender, the cheese melty, rye bread was toasty, and the sauerkraut with Russian dressing made it perfect. Plus it was open face, a really unique touch, served with crunchy pickles, sauerkraut and yummy fries. A feast for sure! My family for sunny side eggs (perfectly cooked) with crispy bacon and pancakes. They were super happy, said it was delicious. The location is perfect for a meal near Newark airport. The service was great, food was served nice and hot, place was clean. And you get that cool New Jersey diner vibe with leather booths and cool bar seating. I definitely recommend Seaport Diner - we will be back!!

We went there for breakfast. Very homely atmosphere. Small and was a bit noisy but definitely got the local vibe. I loved the menu options and would definitely recommend salmon cakes with eggs and grits. It was quite filling and reasonably priced. Would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for something local and different.

Stop by on Wednesday, after dropping my daughter off at the airport. Amazing!!! I was greeted as soon as i walked in the door. It felt like i was visiting family more than grabbing something to eat at a diner. I ordered 2 eggs scrambled soft with sausage links and grits. When I asked my server, who was very kind, about the grits, she knew exactly what i was asking....she replied, no they are not watery and if I wanted cheese in my grits. The grits were creamy and didn't disappoint. Everything was delicious. The eggs were very fresh and reminded of the eggs at my grandparent's in Georgia. A taste that's hard to explain if you only get eggs from a grocery store. So yes, at 6:00 am I found a hidden gem and can't wait to return!!! It's like eating at home and no one is going to make you clean the kitchen afterwards

Finding a good diner in the Northeast can be hit or miss, but this Jersey gem is definitely a hit. I went twice in just a couple of days, and both visits were fantastic. On my first visit, I had the pastrami and eggs hash mix, which was delicious. The second time, I opted for a Greek veggie omelette, and it was excellent. The food here is high-quality and consistent, which is always a good sign. I love the traditional diner vibe, complete with the cooks working right behind the counters. You can see everything going on, adding to the charm. The decor is old-school and low-key, just like a classic diner should be. Parking can be a bit tricky since it's a busy location, but it's worth the effort. If you're in Jersey and looking for a great diner, definitely give this place a try. It's so good I went back twice!
